LIMITED LIFETIME PARTS WARRANTY

We stand behind the quality of our lighting systems and installations.

All qualifying LED components are covered under this Limited Lifetime Parts Warranty.

If a covered LED component fails due to a confirmed manufacturer defect, the replacement part will be provided at no charge for as long as the original purchaser owns the property where the lighting system was originally installed.

“Lifetime” is defined as the period during which the original purchaser owns the residential property where the lighting system was originally installed.

“Lifetime” does not imply unlimited service, free labour, or indefinite coverage of all system components. Coverage applies only to qualifying parts as specifically outlined in this warranty and remains subject to all stated terms, exclusions, inspection policies, and service requirements.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable unless otherwise stated in writing.

WARRANTY VALIDITY REQUIREMENTS

This Limited Lifetime Warranty is valid only if:

  • Our company supplied and installed the lighting system
  • The system remains installed at the original property
  • The original purchaser retains ownership of the property
  • All inspections, service, repairs, and replacements are performed exclusively by We Hang Your Christmas Lights

Registration Requirement:
This warranty must be registered within 30 days of installation to remain valid.

Warranty components are not distributed directly to customers. All replacements must be supplied and installed by our company.

Any third-party repair, modification, tampering, or interference voids this warranty.

DETERMINATION OF COVERAGE

All warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval by We Hang Your Christmas Lights.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to determine:

  • The cause of any product failure
  • Whether the issue qualifies as a manufacturer defect
  • Whether the issue resulted from misuse, improper storage, environmental exposure, voltage irregularities, external damage, third-party interference, or structural modification

All determinations regarding coverage eligibility are made at our sole discretion and are final.

SERVICE & LABOUR POLICY

While covered parts are replaced at no charge, service visits and labour are subject to the following terms:

PERMANENT RGB LIGHTING SYSTEMS

  • During the first 12 months following installation, service fees and labour charges are waived for confirmed manufacturer defects or installation-related issues, as determined by our inspection.
  • After 12 months, a minimum $99 service fee applies to all service visits.
  • Additional labour charges may apply depending on roof height, accessibility, equipment requirements, and scope of repair.

SEASONAL INSTALLATIONS (G30 & C9 LED BULBS)

Workmanship Coverage – Initial Installation Only

Installation workmanship is covered during the active holiday season of the initial installation only.

This workmanship coverage applies solely to the season in which the lighting system was originally installed and does not extend to subsequent seasonal re-installations.

After the initial season concludes, a minimum $99 service fee applies to all service visits. Labour charges may apply as required.

LIFETIME COVERED COMPONENTS (PARTS ONLY)

Permanent RGB Systems

  • RGB LED modules (manufacturer defect only)
  • PVC mounting track (manufacturer defect only)
  • Aluminum mounting track (manufacturer structural or coating defect only)

Seasonal Installations

  • G30 LED bulbs (manufacturer defect only)
  • C9 LED bulbs (manufacturer defect only)
  • Internal LED burnout resulting from a confirmed manufacturer defect and not from normal wear, environmental exposure, voltage irregularities, storage conditions, or physical damage.

Seasonal Product Performance Clarification

Seasonal lighting products are designed for periodic use. Natural wear over time is expected.

Gradual degradation, brightness reduction, cosmetic aging, or normal end-of-life failure is not considered a manufacturer defect and is not covered under this Limited Lifetime Warranty.

LIMITED-TERM COMPONENT COVERAGE

The following components are covered from the original installation date:

  • Power Supplies – 3 years (manufacturer defect only)
  • Controllers / Control Boards – 1 year (manufacturer defect only)
  • Installation Workmanship – 1 year (Permanent RGB Systems only)

After the applicable coverage period expires for a specific component, replacement parts (if not covered under lifetime coverage) and labour are chargeable at current service rates. A minimum service fee applies to all service visits.

SEASONAL STORAGE & HANDLING

If seasonal lighting is stored by our company, manufacturer-defect bulb failures identified during reinstallation will be replaced in accordance with this Limited Lifetime Parts Warranty.

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Improper customer storage
  • Mishandling
  • Environmental exposure
  • Rodent or pest activity
  • Moisture intrusion due to non-rated storage conditions

REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT

At our discretion, defective components may be repaired or replaced with new or refurbished parts of equal or greater value.

Replacement of any component does not extend or reset the original warranty period.

EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does not cover:

  • Lightning strikes
  • Power surges or electrical irregularities
  • Rodent or animal damage
  • Physical impact damage
  • Roof replacement removal or reinstallation
  • Building renovations or structural modifications
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications
  • Cosmetic aging or UV discoloration
  • Extreme weather beyond product specifications
  • Acts of God
  • Damage caused by third-party contractors or trades

WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS

To initiate a warranty claim:

  1. Contact our office with your installation address and description of the issue
  2. Provide photos if available
  3. Our team will assess the claim and schedule service as required

All warranty service is subject to the Service & Labour Policy outlined above.
